Cesare Massone, Dr.

Born in 1971 in Alessandria (Italy), Dr Massone is Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Graz, Graz (Austria). Dr. Massone graduated in medicine at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 1997. He is board certified dermatologist (2002) and dermatopathologist (The International Board of Dermatopathology, 2004 and Österreichische Ärztekammer, 2009). In 2008 Dr Massone was promoted to Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Medical University of Graz, Graz (Austria).

Dr Massone was trained in dermatopathology at the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Graz, Graz (Austria) and in tropical dermatology and dermatopathology at the Regional Dermatology Training Centre, Tumaini University, Moshie (Tanzania), at the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Amazonia, Manaus (Brazil), at the Foundation A. Da Matta, Manaus (Brazil) and at the Federal Dermatological Centre Federico Lleras Acosta, Bogota (Colombia).

Dr Massone was Visiting Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Paracelsus Medical Privat University of Salzburg, Salzburg (Austria), at the Tumaini University, Moshie (Tanzania), at the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Amazonia, Manaus (Brazil), at the Foundation A. Da Matta, Manaus (Brazil) and at the Federal Dermatological Centre Federico Lleras Acosta, Bogota (Colombia) and at the National Reference Centre for Hansen Disease, Genoa (Italy).

Special areas of interest and research include tropical dermatology, leprology, dermatopathology, dermato-oncology, dermoscopy, general dermatology, psoriasis & biologicals therapies, telemedicine, teledermatopathology and teledermatology.

Dr Massone is moderator of the DermOnline Community on www.telederm.org, and founder of the Amazonas - Brazil teledermatology & teledermatopathology project (see Brazil.Telederm.org).

Dr. Massone is author/co-author of over 95 scientific papers (see also PubMed or at biomedexperts.com) with more than 200 impact factor points in peer-reviewed scientific journals, 9 papers of which have been awarded.
