Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Graz, in Graz (Austria). Dr. Massone graduated in medicine at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 1997. He is board certified dermatologist (2002) and dermatopathologist (2004). He was trained in tropical dermatology and dermatopathology at the Regional Dermatology Training Centre, Tumaini University, Moshie (Tanzania), at the Foundation of Tropical Medicine of Amazonia, Manaus (Brazil) and at the Foundation of Dermatology A. Da Matta, Manaus (Brazil).

Special areas of interest and research include dermatopathology, dermato-oncology, dermoscopy, general dermatology, tropical dermatology, leprology, telemedicine, teledermatopathology and teledermatology. Dr. Massone is author/co-author of over 70 scientific papers with more than 160 impact factor points in peer-reviewed scientific journals, 5 papers of which have been awarded. Dr Massone is a moderator of the Community for Teledermatology | Dermatology on www.telederm.org, a freely available online consultation platform in dermatology.
